Insect control alerts
With Pest-Vision FS, you can define a threshold for insect captures. If this limit is surpassed, you'll receive an immediate email alert. The device also provides visual cues: its eye color changes to signal a potential pest issue, keeping your on-site team informed and enabling proactive pest control.
Highly accurate AI
Pest-Vision FS uses AI to automatically analyze the type and number of insects captured. Even without specialized knowledge, you can quickly understand the pest situation and take prompt action. The system boasts high accuracy in both insect counting and AI-based identification.
Identifies 7 Insect Species Groups
- Psychodidae
- Phoridae
- Drosophilidae
- Chironomidae
- Sciaridae
- Anobiidae
- Thysanoptera
※More insect groups will be added in the future.
Identifying the type of insect provides valuable insights into its behavior and habits, helping pinpoint the source of the infestation. This knowledge is crucial for developing effective pest control strategies.
However, insects captured in light traps are often tiny and belong to lesser-known species. Identifying them accurately requires specialized skills that take time and effort to acquire. Moreover, manual identification using microscopes can be tiring and prone to human error, leading to inconsistent results.
Pest-Vision FS eliminates these challenges. Its AI-powered system automatically identifies insects, saving you time and effort while delivering fast, reliable results.
Online monitoring
The status of each sensor (trap) can be checked anytime and anywhere on a dedicated website.
Insect capture status
Photos of insect capture status and trends can be viewed.
It can also be used to monitor sudden increases and verify the effectiveness of corrective measures.
Trends in captured insects and insect ecology
The ecology of captured insects is explained with photographs.
This data can be useful for deciding on countermeasures.
Graph dashboard for multi-faceted analysis
The graphical dashboard offers pest capture data in various formats (daily, monthly, by day of the week) for easy and comprehensive analysis.
Comparing data to the previous month or the same month last year helps identify unusual pest activity and evaluate the effectiveness of your control measures.
If you notice trends in insect captures at certain times of day, it could indicate a link to events like deliveries, employee shifts, or other activities.
We protect your valuable data
Data is stored semi-permanently in the cloud.
We use Amazon's cloud (AWS) for secure data management.
Effective for safety standards such as HACCP
By placing Pest-Vision FS units at each process step or critical control point, you can pinpoint the exact location of any pest issues. This allows you to develop targeted control measures specific to each affected area.
Monitoring each process step for pest issues is essential for reducing claims and improving product quality. This is especially relevant for compliance with food safety standards like HACCP and FSSC22000, which have become increasingly mandatory in recent years.
Furthermore, extending this meticulous monitoring beyond your own facility to include suppliers and storage warehouses enables you to monitor the entire food chain, further enhancing food safety.
Case Study
After installing Pest-Vision FS at the entrance of the manufacturing room, we observed an increase in insect captures in the morning and evening. This data suggested that "employee entry and exit" was the primary cause. We revised our procedures, requiring employees to use sticky rollers and pass through air showers before entering the manufacturing area. As a result, we successfully reduced insect captures.
These data-driven rule revisions were readily accepted by employees, something we hadn't achieved before. Ultimately, this led to highly effective improvements.
Q&A
Pest-Vision FS unit
- How do I configure the main unit?
- The device comes pre-configured, so no setup is required on your end. Simply connect the power cable upon arrival and it's ready for operation.
- How should I install it?
- The unit can be placed on a flat surface or mounted on a wall. Please note that it is not designed to be suspended or hung.
- How effective is it at catching insects?
- It offers comparable capture capabilities to a standard 30W insect trap. The effective coverage area is approximately 50m², though this may vary based on the environment.
Consumables
- Do I need anything else besides the main unit?
- Sticky paper required and sold separately.
- How often should I change the sticky paper?
- We recommend replacing them monthly, but you may need to do so more frequently depending on the number of insects caught.
Web & Cloud
- How does it connect to the internet? Does it use my existing network?
- A SIM card router is included for internet connectivity. You can also connect it to your local network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. We'll work with you to determine the best connection method for your location.
- Can I download the captured images?
- Yes, both captured images and CSV data logs can be downloaded from the website.
- How long is the analysis data stored?
- Data is stored securely in the cloud with no limitations on duration or capacity for the duration of your contract.
- Is my data secure?
- We utilize Amazon Web Services (AWS) for robust cloud security. Data transmission between the device and the cloud is also encrypted.
- Can I generate reports from the analysis results?
- This feature is not currently available but is planned for future implementation.
